Bironthemes’s Owner Interview (#18) – A Ghost Theme Developer from Romania

Hoa Do 46 views

Some people out there might be more familiar with WordPress themes than Ghost themes – the stories of font designers and WordPress theme developers seem to have outweighed others on MakiPlace.

But today is different.

A Ghost theme developer shares with us about his job. Sound interesting enough?

Hi, could you tell us a little about yourself?

Hi, I am an SAP/ABAP developer from Romania. Glad to be here with you guys to talk a little bit about my job.

What are you selling? Why and how did you make it?

I am selling Ghost themes, and I am doing it as a hobby for now. I put a lot of effort and time into creating a product. By the way, my small shop on MakiPlace is Bironthemes. Though it doesn’t have many items right now, I’m gonna keep working and hope you can pay a short visit to it.

How do you get new ideas for product development?

Well, I always want to create useful and well-designed templates. And that’s a great inspiration for me.

I believe when you put what’s good for your users above others, you’re gonna create a good stuff.

Any tips for designers and developers on selling their stuff?

I would say the quality of your work is one of the most important things. Any other factor will have its own role in persuading customers to choose your items, but for me, a high-quality product is the decisive one. Whoever doesn’t want to use a good design, theme or plugin for their projects? And whoever will come back to you if they don’t have good experience with your products?

Which feature would you like to see on MakiPlace?

I’m afraid at present I don’t have any recommendations.

What are your favorite resources for design and development?

I really like clean and minimal web layouts. There are many well-designed templates out there that I can learn from. For me, they are the valuable source of references. So I can try to make my products as minimal and useful as possible.

It seems that whichever kind of product you create doesn’t matter, what matters is why and how you create your items to make it really useful for others. To visit Brionthemes shop, just go with this link: https://www.makiplace.com/shop/bironthemes/
