Some of my friends always talk about developers in the most exciting way I’ve ever known.

As for them, developers are smart creatures on earth who create smart things making life easier.

However, it’s likely that their persistence and hard work are what really makes other people admire them.

Let us walk you through the story of WPBooking’s owner, a WordPress theme, and plugin developer to understand more about his job.

Hi, could you tell us a little about yourself?

My full name is Tran Trung Kien. I come from Hanoi, Vietnam. I’ve worked on Travel Booking WordPress themes and plugins for 7 years. WPBooking is our team’s online shop on MakiPlace. We’re very glad to have a talk with you there.

Kien Tran from Vietnam

What are you selling? Why and how did you make it?

We’re developing and selling our WordPress themes and plugins. All are about Travel booking.
There has been a rising demand for travel websites, so we decided the demand would be met. We believe that we can help many people in the world, especially in the tourism industry, by creating good themes and plugins. Tourism agencies and companies can have an easy-to-use yet inexpensive booking system.

How do you get inspired? Where do your ideas come from?

Doing something that benefits customers is what inspires us. We develop products that help clients save time and money, so they don’t have to pay so much for other systems. Instead, they will concentrate the resources on growing their business.
Most of our ideas stem from real problems on customers’ travel sites. We try to figure out how our travel booking products can optimize their profits. It would be wonderful if everything can work automatically, and that’s what we want.

Any tips for designers and developers on selling their stuff?

At present, it would be a bit difficult for us to give any useful tips. Hope we can share with you later.

Which feature would you like to see on Makiplace?

Sincerely, we haven’t had any kind of request for MakiPlace yet. It runs quite well. Of course, we won’t keep any recommendations for ourselves in the future. We’ll definitely let you know.

What are your favorite resources for design and development?

We now continue digging deep into WordPress. A lot of effort has gone into developing WordPress themes and plugins. We usually draw lessons from practical experiences, mistakes and customers’ feedback to keep improving.

During the past years, Mr. Tran and his team, owing to their dedication and hard work, have created a considerable number of products. Here’s where you can see some of their outcomes and give them your opinions: https://www.makiplace.com/shop/wpbooking/
